KidFEST at CMEE: Johnny Peers and the Muttville Comix

It’s a slapstick comedy dog show like no other. Johnny Peers leads over a dozen rescue dogs through challenging and hilarious tricks as he plays the straight man role in this wonderful family show.

Johnny and his Animal Planet Pet Star winners have appeared with Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus, on the David Letterman Show, Primetime Live, Circus of the Stars, and at Disneyland, Busch Gardens, the Big Apple Circus, the Royal Hanneford Circus, and even The White House!

Sit! Stay! Get ready to howl! Johnny Peers and his personality-plus canines are coming to tickle your funny bone!

For KidFEST, ALL guests over the age of 2 years are required to wear face coverings both indoors and outside, regardless of vaccination status. While children under the age of 12 are unable to be vaccinated, we ask adults to model the behavior that is expected of children. Your patience and understanding is appreciated in keeping our community’s children safe.

KidFEST Pre-Show Workshop

From decorative juggling sticks to pirate flags to triple-tier cake sculptures, our pre-show workshops get your child’s imagination ready for the show they are about to experience. Join us to explore, create, and learn together!

Each workshop is led and crafted in partnership with our neighbors at The Golden Eagle.

Join us for this workshop just prior to The Jester Jim Show – Juggling, Beatboxing, Comedy!

Appropriate for ages 4+
This is a family program. Parents/Guardians are expected to stay with their children.

Virtual KidFEST: The Amazing Max Part 2

Max Darwin (aka The Amazing Max) is based in NYC and performs his family magic show Off Broadway and on tour. Since Amazing Max is not currently performing in the theater, he has offered Guild Hall a second virtual magic lesson that can be enjoyed from your sofa! In one hour Max will teach your kids magic tricks using objects available right in your home.  (if you joined us for part 1 don’t worry – these are all new tricks!)  All you need is a pencil, quarter, nickel, dollar bill, and deck of cards. Magic experience not required! Following the lesson there will be time for a Q&A.

The session will be a private group on Zoom, so everyone will need to register in advance to participate. If you do not have a registered Zoom account, please be sure to sign up for one before the show begins.  A link will be sent to ticket holders in their confirmation emails, and 24 hours in advance of the performance.

Recommended for ages 6 & up.  For younger kids who would like to participate, an adult presence is recommended to help them with the tricks.  

Virtual KidFEST: The Amazing Max

This 40 minutes pre-show workshop will get your child moving to the rhythms and sounds they’re about to see and hear!
