Hilarie Morgan moved to Philadelphia from New York when she began her doctoral studies in psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Captivated by the city’s vibrant cultural community, she made Philadelphia her permanent home, where she met her husband, Mitchell, and raised their three children.

After earning her Ph.D., Hilarie’s professional career as a psychologist centered on counseling and psychotherapy with children, families and adults. She began her career interning at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic at Children’s Hospital, and continued her work by conducting psychological assessments in suburban school districts, counseling at community mental health centers, and providing private practice psychotherapy.

Hilarie’s civic and charitable engagements are extensive. She currently serves on several boards in the Greater Philadelphia and West Palm Beach areas, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art where she serves as a trustee, and also serves on its Contemporary art committee. She is an overseer on the Women’s Health Leadership Council of Penn Medicine, a trustee of the Norton Museum in West Palm Beach, Florida, and a trustee emeritus of the Philadelphia Orchestra

Mitchell Morgan is founder, chairman, and CEO of Morgan Properties, a national leader in the investment and management of multifamily properties. Under his leadership, Morgan Properties has grown to become the third largest multifamily owner in the country with a portfolio comprised of more than 350 apartment communities, over 95,000 units in 19 states and over $16 billion in assets. Morgan Properties is the largest apartment owner in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York.

Mitchell Morgan earned both his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and his JD from Temple University. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Temple University and is the only alum in over 50 years to serve in this role. Mitchell has previously served as the President of the Apartment Association of Greater Philadelphia, as Trustee of the Penn Medicine board and as Trustee of the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History.

Through the Morgan Family Foundation, Mitchell and Hilarie are deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of others. They are strong supporters of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Temple University, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Norton Museum of Art, Guild Hall, Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish history, Jewish Federation of greater Philadelphia, the Barnes Foundation and many others. It is their hope that the example of their philanthropy and the importance of giving back will continue to resonate in their children and grandchildren for generations to come.
